El Patrón is a restored 46’ Ocean Yachts performance fishing boat that can fit 12 guests. It’s powered by twin 450 HP Detroit diesel engines and uses modern navigation gear, outriggers, Penn International downriggers, as well as snorkeling gear. To ensure the best fishing experience possible, the boat is completely rigged with tournament-grade tackle.
Below deck, you’ll find 3 comfortable staterooms with ensuite bathrooms and plenty of room to relax. Your vessel has also got high-quality Hi-Fi to let you fish to your own music.
You’ll be able to try out any fishing technique, with tackle ranging from Penn Carnage II and Shimano Trevala to Penn International V. The crew also uses various lures depending on your target species. The deep blue waters of the Mexican Gulf offer you Blue and White Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, and more. You can also explore the area’s thriving reefs and chase Snapper, Grouper, Barracuda, and other delicious and elusive species, making your trip even more exciting and productive.
All trips include tackle, live bait, lures, and licenses. The crew will also clean and fillet your catch at the end of the trip. Feel free to bring any food you like in order to stay refreshed.

I was booking this trip for my friend’s bachelor party and could not have asked for a better experience. Jorge was super communicative and helpful in the days leading up to coordinate details of our trip – from transportation to and from our hotel to snack, drinks and lunch. Captain Miguel with Arturo and Large made the trip excellent – we left with a lot of tuna that we caught and were able to eat for dinner and all the guys had an excellent time as the fish started coming in and we left with 5 blackfin tuna and 2 rainbow runners. If I’m ever down in Cancun again I would be happy to book with them again and would recommend them for anyone looking to have a great time out on the water.
We had 6 people on this 46’ boat and there was still plenty of room. Most of the guests had not fished before so we told the Captain we want to catch a lot of fish, even if they were smaller. He did just that – good trip. Next time we will bring fewer people and go for bigger fish. Spent some time snorkeling and everyone had a really good time. Coordination of the trip worked well – communication, transportation, the whole nine yards. Would recommend.
